Basically what you do is host a website or blog that is based on a specific theme, provide useful information about that your target audience would be interested in, and then put Google AdSense ads on the pages.

The ads will automatically show up and Google makes sure that they are related to what you are writing about. And then as the ads get clicked you start to earn money.

And the more information you provide, the more people will find your website from the search engines, and the more traffic you will have. Obviously this means more clicks for your ads, and of course more money in your pocket.
