Enjoy these free and effective tips on setting goals, and actually reaching them!
It has been said many times over that the beginning point of all success is GOALS!
Whether you know it or not, goals do play a major role on your levels of success.
Goals give direction, and they give meaning and purpose to everything that you do.
When you have clear goals, you know where you are headed, and you can take educated steps that will gradually bring about the desired results.
Without goals, nothing you do will have any real meaning, and you will be at the mercy of situations and circumstances, rather than creating your future the way that you feel fit.
I want to share some great tips on setting goals, some things that I have learned and used with terrific results.
#1-Make It Clear Most people do not have any goals, and even those that do have them have very vague goals. A vague goal will not do you any good. In order to get anywhere worthwhile in life, you need to know exactly where it is that you are trying to go. The more clear your goals, the better chance you will have at actually reaching them.
#2-Write It Down Unless your goal is written down on paper, I would not consider it a real goal. The simple act of writing your goal down gives it power, vitality, and life. Writing out your goals will fix them securely in your subconscious mind, and when they are imbedded there they will sooner or later make it into your life experience.
#3-Pay Attention Your goals and dreams need attention to survive and to thrive. It is true that where our attention goes, our energy flows. If you are not giving your goals enough attention and thought, they will not be given enough energy to become your reality. Think of your goals daily and never lose sight of them.
#4-Keep Your Blinders On Unfortunately a common reason for failure is negative influence from others. Too many people do not have goals or dreams of their own, and therefore they take pleasure in breaking your goals down. Do not let anyone tell you what can be done. Decide for yourself what you want, and then decide to make it happen no matter what.
#5-One At a Time Someone with too many goals will not likely accomplish any of them. There is something to be said about single-minded purpose. When you have only one major goal (or a couple at most) you will be able to give them the proper amount of attention and energy. If you have too many goals and plans, they will all be neglected sooner or later. Choose the most important and stick to it.
