Theory of Goal Setting

The theory of goal setting. Why have goals been called the beginning point of high achievement?

Many people consider the theory of goal setting to be one of the fundamental components to a life of happiness and high achievement.

What is it about goal setting that is do incredibly powerful, and even essential to success?

Let me ask you a question. If you wanted to get to a specific destination, would it not be essential to know exactly where it was that you were trying to go?

I know that this seems like a rhetorical question, and it is. But the same holds true for your life; if you want to end up somewhere, you need to know exactly where it was that you wanted to end up.

Because this seems so obvious, it would be easy to assume that most people have goals. But that is simply not the case.

In fact, if you asked a hundred random people what their goals in life were, only a few, if any, would actually have a definite answer.

You may hear a bunch of generic answers like “I want to be happy” or “I want to be rich.”

These are not goals, they are simply vague desires that are inherent in all of us.

A real goal, the kind that has power to transform your life, must be much more clear.

The people who do great things, the people who achieve high success, and the people who have made their dreams come true are all people who have been goal setters.

People who set goals have the power to create their lives the way they see fit.

Goals give people direction, purpose, and meaning. It gives them energy, enthusiasm, and hope.

Goals let people decide on the path of their lives, and they allow them to follow those paths without distraction.

If you feel that there is something missing, if you feel life you are not going anywhere in life, you need to set goals for yourself.

Decide what it is that you want to get out of your lifetime, and then do anything and everything in your power to get it.

Striving for worthy goals will give you happiness, fulfillment, and it will allow you to make your dreams come true.
