Free tips and advice for becoming a stock market millionaire
The stock market millionaire is a different breed. Making the big bucks in the stock market requires that you have confidence, courage, decisiveness, and the ability to think clearly under pressure.
I enjoy very much tracking stocks, especially when I have a big chunk of change on the line. I would love to share a few trading tips that I was fortunate enough to learn when I first started trading. I have had a lot of success following these simple techniques.
The first may seem pretty obvious, but it is not always recognized and used. Investing in the stock market can be a very emotional experience. When money is on the line, tension rises and so does excitement.
As emotional as it can be, it is critical that you never make decisions based on these emotions. Emotional moves can get you into a lot of trouble. It is always best to have a plan and stick to it religiously.
Another tip is one that you have heard before, but I would like to offer a little more depth. Diversification is not a new term, especially to an investor. Having a diversified portfolio is always recommended, but make sure that is stays under control. Depending on the amount you are investing, you should have anywhere from 1-6 stocks. You should rarely have more than this unless you are investing millions.
If you are investing with $50,000 you should keep it between 4-5, $20,000 you should keep it between 3-4, $10,000 2-3, and if you have $5,000 or less you should have only one or two stocks.
Another thing to keep in mind when analyzing a possible stock is to see how the sector as a whole is moving. Most stocks move in groups, and you can often learn a little more about a particular stock based on how well the others in the same sector are performing.
And the last tip I wanted to share is that earnings and sales growth have proved to have the biggest impact on a stocks performance. When analyzing a potential pick, you should look first to the earnings and sales growth because those are the two areas with the highest reliability.
