When I first decided to start my first business, I knew that it would be in my best interests to study successful entrepreneurs. Modeling those who we aspire to be is an incredibly powerful thing to do, and it can have a huge impact on our level of success.

As I studied the entrepreneurial attitude and read many short success stories on entrepreneurs, I realized that all of them had some very definite traits in common.

Obviously all of these individuals had different backgrounds, different training and experience, unique talents, and the businesses that each one started were different. But what was common in each of these highly successful entrepreneurs is a mindset, an attitude that led them to success.

I would like to share a few of them with you, ones that have been proven to be indispensible for anyone who wishes to be an entrepreneurial success.

The first of these traits is courage. You will not be able to find a story of a successful entrepreneur who did not display a high level of courage. Most business owners, innovators, and self made millionaires and billionaires had to blaze their own trail. They did things that may not have ever been done before, and they pursued their dreams without any guarantee of success. The courage to take action when the right opportunity presents itself is a cornerstone of the millionaire mindset.

Just as important as the ability to get started is the ability to keep going after the first step has been taken. You will find in most entrepreneur success stories that things did not always go as planned. Unforeseen obstacles often come up, and while many people use these humps as an excuse to quit, others use them to create new opportunities for themselves. An unwillingness to quit makes any entrepreneur completely unstoppable.

Another characteristic of high functioning entrepreneurs is vision. Entrepreneurs are visionaries who are able to look past the appearance of things and see their potential. If you can look past what is and see what could be, you have the perspective of an entrepreneur.
