Content is the life force of a website, and it is the biggest component to successful SEO. Creating unique content that is both useful and interesting to visitors should be the foundation of any SEO campaign.
Proper selection and usage of keywords within your content is also critical. Your keywords should obviously be focused on your target market, attracting visitors who will be profitable for your business. The keywords you use should also be profitable, meaning they are both high in demand (people searching that term) and low in supply (other webmasters using the same keyword). Do not try and cram a keyword into your content thinking it will enhance results because it only hurts them. Aim to use your keyword one time per every hundred words in your content.
The last component to effective SEO campaign management is building link popularity. In order to look credible in the eyes of the search engines, other websites needs to have links pointing to your site. Two of the most simple and effective ways to get high quality back links is through online directories and article submissions.
By taking care of these three simple yet critical areas, your SEO campaign management will be a success. And one thing to always keep in mind is that the engines are incredibly intelligent, and it is never a good idea to try and trick them in any way. This may produce some short term results, but they will be very short lived.
