The starting point of personal development is creating a positive self image of you.
You can only grow to the point that you feel worthy, and so it is critical that you begin to think highly of yourself and everything that you do.
I want to provide 10 ways to develop a more positive self image that you can begin using today.

#1- go for a walk on the beach or in the country or park and recall your childhood play. Dust off and “oil ” your imagination. It rules your world.
#2-Set aside 20 to 30 minutes a day, whether commuting to and from your place of business, at lunch, or in the morning or evening. As you relax during this time imagine yourself achieving and enjoying your most personal desires.
#3- read a biography this month-and each month-the life story of someone who has reached the top in your profession, in your major hobby or just someone you admire. As you read, imagine yourself as the person you are reading about.
#4- while you relax, visualize your own imagine triumphs. Listen to soft mood music in the background. The process of relaxing, plus the music will open the subjective of window in your subconscious level of thinking and make you most perceptive to your own creative images.
#5- if you spend time around young children, become a storyteller using your imagination for a good, old-fashioned ghost story or science fiction tale once a week before bedtime.
#6- limit your television viewing to stimulating, special shows. If you just watch television as a habit, tunnel vision will set in and creative imagination will vanish. The same goes for your children!
#7- take a deep relaxation, meditation, auto suggestion, or bio feedback training program. Develop the ability to “daydream” through this training so that you can smell the salt air, hear the waves lap at the side of the boat, see the sale full on the wind and the gulls on the wing and feel the exhilaration of ocean sailing as if they were really happening.
#8- develop the habit of listening to educational and inspirational cassette tapes while you’re driving and before retiring in evening. Listening sparks the imagination, and as in learning a foreign language, promotes retention of the subject permanently in your memory.
#9- write a two page resume of your professional and personal assets as if you’re going to apply for the job of a lifetime. Instead of past experience, list your maximum current potential and ultimate future growth potential. Read this two page autobiography every week.
#10- since the self image is the visual, conceptual display of self esteem, take stock this weekend of those images with which you display yourself: clothes, auto, home, garage, closet, dresser drawers, desk, photos, lawn, garden, etc. Make a priority list to get rid of all the clutter and sharpen up all the expressions of your life.
