The most powerful motivation is a positive expectancy of success, and here is how to build it
What do you want to achieve more than anything else?
Why haven't you achieved it yet?
Is it because you did not think that you could and so you did not even try?
This is the case with many people.
Many times people fail simply because they do not attempt to achieve their goals. The reason they do not attempt their goals is because they do not feel like they are capable of achieving them.
Without a doubt, all highly successful people expected to achieve success, therefore they were able to. Expecting to succeed is the most powerful motivation that you can have.

These tips are from the book the psychology of winning by Denis Waitley.

#2- find something good in all of your personal relationships and accentuate the blessings or lessons in even the most trying confrontations.
#3- look at problems as opportunities-make a list of your most pressing-the ones the block your professional and personal fulfillment. Write a one or two sentence definition of each problem. Now rewrite the definition, only this time to view it as an opportunity or exercise to challenge your creativity and ingenuity.
#4- learn to stay relaxed and friendly no matter how much tension you're under. Instead of participating in group griping, single out someone or something to praise. Instead of being unhelpfully critical be constructively helpful.
