Motivation spiritually is the desire to become a more complete person.

Getting in touch with your spiritual side offers many benefits, benefits that can completely transform all areas of your life.

And unlike what many people think about spirituality, it does not require major beliefs, life changes, or long processes of enlightenment.

Becoming more spiritual is simply becoming more of a “total package.”

This includes developing the way you view yourself, how intimate you are with yourself, reacting to how others view you, realizing your connection to nature and to the entire universe, and realizing that the past and future are born in the imagination, and only the present moment contains any real power.

In his book The Psychology of Winning Dr. Denis Waitley described 10 simple yet powerful steps to become a well rounded, more spiritually enlightened individual.

I will share them with you now.

#1- learn one or two additional languages and study the customs and mores of countries you plan to visit. When you travel, speak and the native tongue as much as possible. The added dimension will benefit you and those you meet.

#2- experiment with five are six hours sleep per night while being kind to your body with good nutrition and exercise. Over a lifetime, the additional productive hours available amount to 12 more years of life.

#3- this is Saturday do something you have wanted to do for years. And repeat this process once each month.

#4- make a contribution to something or someone for which there is no direct payout or obligation.

#5- spend time listening to and giving encouragement to an elder each week.

#6- tell a parent or relative in person or by phone how much he or she means to you today.

#7- tonight kiss a child good night with an added, “you are special and I love you for who you are.” And tomorrow listen to and play with that child as if you were a playmate again.

#8- pay value to your spouse or a loved one today with a touch and an “I love you.” Flowers, poems, cards are ever green!

#9- treat people more like brothers and sisters. Treat animals more like people. Treat nature were carefully and tenderly-she is precariously balancing our future survival.

#10- ask yourself the questions, how do i fit into my family, my company, my profession, my community, my nation, my world?


Spirituality is simple yet profound. When you feel your inner connectedness with the universe and everything in it, you will see that the things you want flow more easily into your life.

A complete life is a happy, successful, and fulfilling life.
