10 powerful tips for motivation and goal settings success!
Where is your life taking you, or more importantly, where you taking your life?
If you do not have an answer to these questions, you need to start searching for them if you want to take control over your future.
Motivation and goal settings are critical components of success in any area of life.
To help you out I want to share 10 powerful tips for setting and reaching any goal that you desire.
These tips are from the psychology of winning by Denis Waitley.
#1- for best results in goal achieving use these basic rules: A-set short range goals(day, week, month, six month)
B-set lower level goals(relatively easy to accomplish)
C-set incremental goals(little by little, part of the big objective)
D-get group reinforcement
E-ceremonialize the achievement(certificates, reward, dinner, Trip, recreation, etc.)
#2- review your goals with winners-and experts who have proven records of success and actually accomplishing what you have set out to do. Differentiate between those who want to sell you and those who are sincere in wanting to help you.
#3- for reaching your goals, assemble support material, news articles, books, tapes, pictures cut out of magazines, consumer reports, cost estimates, color swatches, samples, etc. Review these often.
#4- make special effort to sit down and write your financial gain a plan which will fuel your personal growth cycle.
#5- use of pocket week at a glance type calendar and set activities for next week that will help achieve your monthly goals. Review it and check off accomplishment each morning and evening. Use a single page of paper and set the most important goals of all-your daily goals for tomorrow.
Write down at least 10 priority projects for tomorrow of the close of each working day. Review in just before you go to bed and early the following morning. As on a grocery shopping list, checked off each item as accomplished and carry over into the following day those that were not completed.
#6- use a large desktop calendar and set your time priority goals for next month. What would you do, where will you go, with whom will you communicate during the next 30 days in order to achieve your annual goals?
#7- what are your priority goals in groups of years. For the next five years write one major goal in each of the eight following areas: career, physical, family, personal attitude, financial, public service, educational, and entertainment.
#8- list your top priority goals for the next year using the same eight categories as in the number above. After reviewing your progress for this year’s goals on December 31 or January 1, set your annual goals for the next year.
#9- what are your lifetime goals? What you stand for, what do you want your children to tell their children about you? Jot down a one page brief.
