Money Management Worksheet

Money management is a habit. We often use money without putting thought into what we are doing. This is the reason why many of us have developed personal money managing habits that are not leading us toward financial success. We have not intentionally created our habits, they formed without our awareness.

Is money management something that should be left to chance? Well, considering that the way we habitually handle our money is the biggest factor that determines out financial future, leaving it to chance may not be the wisest decision.

So what is the right decision? The best way to ensure a successful financial future is to deliberately create the money habits that you want. When you decide on the personal money management habits that you want to adopt, you are taking full control over your future and not leaving it to chance.

Creating your own money worksheet is easy. First, write out all of the income you receive on a monthly basis. From this amount, subtract all of your living costs, and you will end up with a surplus amount. If there is not a surplus amount, you need to either increase your income or decrease your expenses.

The surplus amount will be split up into three group. One is a long term savings, another is a save to invest account, and the last portion is for you to reward yourself for following your plan. This last part adds balance and makes the entire habit more enjoyable.

Having written all of this down, you now have a money management worksheet that you can use to build your financially free future. At first you may need to utilize some willpower when saving money instead of spending it, but it gets easier with time. The way we use our money is habitual, so your new habits will form and replace any negative ones that you have had.
