Millionaire giving money to others, usually to charities and non profit organization, has reached a new level. In fact, the super rich millionaires and billionaires are giving to charity as if it is a competition.

How much money are the biggest givers giving? Many of the richest people in the world, according to FORBES, have donated over $1 billion dollars. Many others have given away hundreds of millions of dollars.

The two biggest givers at the time are Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. Granted these guys are some of the richest in the world, but the amounts that they give to others is still stunning.

Bill and Melinda Gates started there foundation with a single donation, and now it has assets that amount to $30 billion dollars. But these two still do not have the record for the biggest single donation made by anyone.

Super wealthy investor Warren Buffet signed off 85% of his net worth in a single transaction, a donation of more than $31 billion dollars. Actually, a large portion of this money was offered to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.

Giving to others is not an activity only participated in by the wealthiest people, they are simply the ones giving the most. Many millionaires have their favorite charity or nonprofit organization that they support. Giving back to their community is something that many affluent people enjoy.

And it seems as if the Golden Rule really does have an effect. The idea that what comes around goes around is a belief commonly held by the wealthy. They have realized that we live in a universe that gives to the givers, and that by giving more, they are also able to receive more.
