If you know how to market, promote, and advertise effectively, you have two options as how to go about making money with your skills. The first is obvious, you can land a job advertising for some business, and possibly make a good income. The second is to go into business for yourself, either marketing your own products or doing affiliate marketing on a commission basis. Personally I feel that the latter is the more profitable route to take. I mean, if you know how to effectively promote and sell stuff, why not earn money for yourself rather than spending your time only to make someone else richer? It is very simple to make money advertising online. You can realistically be off and running in a matter of hours or less. All you need to do is find some products that you think are a good fit for you, and then start promoting them and earning commissions. Finding products to market is simple. There are a number of companies online that let anyone sign up free and market their products on a commission basis. Two of the most popular affiliate companies are Amazon.com and Clickbank.com. Both of these companies has tens of thousands of high quality products that you can market online and earn money. Out of the two I highly recommend Clickbank. The reason for this is simple, they offer much higher commissions percentages per sale than Amazon. Actually I think Amazon should be avoided, at least by anyone who wants to make some serious money. I do promote some books through Amazon on my website, but this is mostly for the visitor’s sake. I definitely do not use Amazon as my primary income stream. The difference in commissions between Amazon and Clickbank is huge. Amazon offers a measly 7-10% per sale. With commissions this low, you may as well be working as an advertiser for an hourly wage because you will not likely earn a large amount of money. Clickbank on the other hand offers over 10,000 products that you can promote, and the commissions range from 30-75%. That is why expert affiliates promote with Clickbank, and also why they are able to earn six and even seven figure yearly incomes. So if you want to make money advertising, I recommend signing up and Clickbank.com as a free affiliate, choosing the product(s) that you can best promote, and then getting into action.
