By locating a profitable, reliable, workable opportunity, you can start your Internet business venture with confidence, and begin to successfully invest your time into an ever-increasing income.

If you are trying to build a long term Internet business, then it is very valuable for you to work with a company that is going to be around in the long run. This is not a difficult thing to do, it just takes a little planning, and a little patience to do some research. A few things to think about are....What company sponsors this program? How long has it been around? Does it seem like a legitimate company that will be around for a while? Trust me, there are some very good Internet businesses that are very reliable, you just need to look for them and keep your eyes away from all the hype.

One indicator that I use to judge whether or not a home business opportunity is legitimate is whether or not it has its own forum. From my experience, the best Internet businesses and home business programs have an ongoing forum, and are legitimate and reliable. Having its own forum shows that it has many members who are dedicated to the business, and many members that have been around for a number of years. This is also great news for you if you are new to the Net-business arena. There is always a wealth of knowledge, tips, and support that can be found on a great forum. In my experience, successful members enjoy helping newcomers get the ball rolling, and are always more than happy to invest their time in your success.

# 2- What's the Start-up Cost, Is There One?

Now this can be a very gray line that tends to get people off track. Let me clear up a couple of common misconceptions about good Internet businesses. Are you given any access into valuable resources that can help accelerate your home business growth? If not, why are you paying? As always, do a little research. Make sure that you are getting value for your dollar, if not, go with a free opportunity.

Being that most Net-business seekers are completely new to the field, it's a good idea to check what kind of training, resources, and assistance you will be receiving. This obviously goes for paid programs, but free ones should offer you assistance as well. In fact, I have found the best training, the most support, and the highest quality resource material with the free programs that I have tested. This actually makes perfect sense.

Good Internet businesses earn money from the efforts put forth from their affiliates and members. Successful members generate money for themselves, and this adds value and revenue for the company as well. They do not rely on a sign-up fee to make money. This is why many low quality, get-rick-quick type schemes charge a lot for memberships.....that's the only way they earn anything!! Good Internet businesses always invest in the success of their members because the business shares that success. If you are new to the Net, you will want to make sure that you will be provided adequate training, support, and resource material. A good company will invest in your success, because they will profit with you in the long run. Once again, the forums can be a great way to see how supportive the home business community is. If you are opting for a paid-inclusion program, you may want to take advantage of any free trials. This way you can test the program out before dropping any money. You should look into the resources, the forums, the training (if any), the marketing aids (banners, video ads, landing/sales pages, etc.), other business tools, and maybe test out if the structure of the program is going to be a good fit for you.
