I know one goal setting tip that can increase the speed at which you achieve success.
For a long time I was an avid student of success, achievement, and the human potential. I read about every success book published within the last 100 years, and I attended seminars, listened to audios, and pretty much became obsessed with human potential and the science of success.
Everything I learned had its own unique twist in it, and a lot of the material was radical an very new to me.
However, amongst all the differences, there were a few common denominators, things that held true in everything I encountered.
Two of these things stand clearly in mind, and they are actually very similar and can be used together to really enhance your level of success.
The first is the fact that what we think about most of the time is what we end up seeing in our life experience. This is probably not a new concept for everyone. This very teaching has been recorded in just about every success, wealth, and personal development book ever written. Even great teachers like Buddha and Jesus put great emphasis on the creative power of thought.
Something else that seems to pop up in every teaching is the fact that this principle of thought can be applied to the way we set our personal goals. When we use this information to our advantage, we are able to realize our goals and desires sooner than ever before, and often times without added effort.
The goal setting tip is this, keep your goals in your thoughts as much as possible. Where our attention goes, our energy flows, and results grow. Thinking positively at all times about the goals you are striving for will enable you to reach them much sooner. Talk to any very successful individual and they will tell you that their greatest successes came from putting constant attention on them.
Does it seem like a lot of work to remember to think about your goal all the time? Well it’s not. If your goal means a lot to you, if you have passion for it and a keen desire to see it happen, you may naturally think about it at all times. Even so, there are a few things you can do to ensure that your goals are getting enough attention. One is to write down your goal and keep it in your pocket or wallet wherever you go. Whenever you have a few moments to spare, pull out your goal and read it a few times, thinking about how great it will be when it happens.
The more positive attention that you can give to any goal you have, will speed up the realization on that goal. And remember that the only way to fail at reaching a goal is to quit before you do, so never be quick to throw in the towel.
