Want a really great goal setting strategy? This one is powerful
Goals are great. They give you direction and allow you to plan for the future. They present the opportunity for personal growth and development. And they add meaning and purpose into everything that you do.
Would it surprise you if I told you that the majority of people, about 98%, do not have any clear goals that they are pursuing? It shouldn’t especially when you consider that most people are dissatisfied with their life and end up regretting not doing the things that they truly desired.
I hope to never look back on my life with regret, and I know I won’t because I have decided to pursue with all my energy the things that I really want to achieve in my life. It is not always the finish line that matters, but giving your all to get there.
I never really had too much interest in goal setting until I heard a goal setting strategy that really changed my perspective. What I learned is that your goals should be created from the perspective of zero limits, as if anything can be accomplished.
This made an impact on me. I had desires, but because I did not feel that I would be able to reach them, I didn’t even set the goal. And because I did not think that I could do what I really wanted, I decided that goals were useless.
But the truth of the matter is that you can achieve success with absolutely anything that you choose, the only limits that we have are the ones that we impose upon ourselves through negative thinking.
Realize that you can achieve anything, and then create your goals based on that fact. Decide what you truly desire to do, to have, and to be. Do not set goals that you think can easily be reached, set goals that you truly desire to reach.
Small goals will lead to small successes, and large goals will lead to large successes. But small goals are not any easier to reach than big goals, if anything they are harder!
How can big goals be easier to reach than small ones? Because small goals are not exciting and therefore do not inspire and motivate you the same way that large goals do. Big , bold goals will give you a source of motivation and inspiration that will allow you to reach levels of success that even you couldn’t have imagined.
The bottom line is that to succeed in a big way, you need to set goals that will direct and drive you to that end. Decide what you want from the perspective that you have no limits. With this attitude you will have none.
Goal setting is a crucial aspect of success, as it provides direction, motivation, and focuses all of your efforts on a single target. A clearly set goal that you are enthusiastic about will have it in the power to help you achieve it.
