Some online business owners and Internet marketers have capital that they’re able and willing to invest in their search engine optimization campaign.

They are able to spend money on expensive directory listings, professional search engine optimization services, and if they want an instant boost in traffic they are able to spend money on pay-per-click advertising.

A profitable keyword is one that is not only high in demand, meaning many people are searching for that term at the engines, but also one that is low in supply, meaning there is little competition from other websites utilizing that same search term.

The less competition that you have for each keyword that you utilize, the faster and higher you will get ranked.

After harvesting a long list of profitable keywords, you will want to invest your time in building many content rich web pages around those keywords.

Each keyword can be utilized to build a webpage of anywhere from 300 to 400 words.

Each page will be able to generate a few daily visitors from the engines, and if you are able to build hundreds or even thousands of these small keyword focused web pages, your overall traffic can be enormous.

The last thing you will want to do to better your search engine results is increase your link popularity.

While many directories will charge you a review fee before listing your website, there are literally thousands of free ones that can also be used to increase your overall link popularity.

Increasing your link popularity is a must do if you want to be a competitor in the internet marketing world.

If you do not yet have any inbound links, this will be your first priority because you will have a very difficult time getting any pages listed and ranked if you do not have any.

After securing at least 30 inbound links, you can then continue building your link popularity while also adding content rich webpages that will gradually make their way to the top.

As I said this all takes quite a lot of time, but it is an investment of time that will repay you many times over.

When I first began building my website I spend anywhere from 8 to 12 hours per day building my link popularity and increasing the number of webpages that I had.

Now I’m able to work only a couple hours per day, yet the work that I put in prior is still benefiting me.

Each and every month my traffic is considerably higher than it was the month before.

While some people think that I just got lucky, the truth is that I was smart enough to invest my time into profitable activities that I knew would pay off in the future.

Take the time to build your website along strict SEO principles and you will get great free search engine rankings.
