When we know we look good, we walk, talk, and act in a more confident way. This self respecting demeanor demands the respect of others too. There is one common question that people ask. They know that it is important to dress for success, yet they do not feel that they can afford to dress the way they want until they are already successful. Dressing in an impressive manner obviously costs a lot more than shopping at the discount store, but maybe that is where our budget allows us to shop. There is a way that you can dress in a way that makes you feel better and more confident about yourself without spending a lot more money. It comes down to this, quality is much more important that quantity. What do you think has more value, ten $10 shirts or a single shirt that costs $100? While the monetary value of these two sets is equal, the intrinsic value of the single $100 shirt is superior. Feeling confident about your appearance is obviously important for your self esteem, and equally important for making good impressions on others. Therefore a single shirt that make you look and feel great has much more value and offers many more benefits than having a bunch of shirts that make you feel average or mediocre. And this goes for all types of clothing and accessories. Shoes, hats, belts, watches, etc. Whatever it is, quality trumps quantity every time, especially when your goal is to dress for success. Choosing quality over quantity will actually save you money in the long run. How? Surely we have all bought something because it seems to inexpensive to pass up. Do these items last a long time? Usually not. You may be able to where them for a short time, but they quickly wear out and become torn and battered. But have you ever spent a good deal of money to buy some clothing, maybe a suit or a pair of shoes? If you have then you have no doubt noticed the longer life span of high quality clothing. A good pair of shoes can last practically a lifetime, except for the occasions need to re-sole them. Did you know that many wealthy people will have one pair of shoes for a number of years, and rather than having to buy new ones they simple get the ones they have re-soled? It’s true. Another reason that high quality clothing lasts longer is that it does not go out of style as fast as cheaper clothing. And some of it never goes out of style.
