Want to get coached to success without spending a fortune? Here is how I did it.
Hiring a success coach can be helpful, but it can also be terribly expensive.
Being coached to success was never an option for me, at least not through conventional coaching.
But it turned out that I found something much better, something that has had a huge impact on my life and my levels of success.
I realized that I did not need an expensive success coach because everything that you need to know about success can be found in books!
Why have just one success coach when you can learn the wisdom from the greatest mind all throughout history? It is all there for you, waiting to be absorbed and utilized.
I have learned a lot about success over the past few years, and I want to share 7 of the most essential ingredients of being coached to success.
#7-Let it Go To continue making progress in your life, you need to be able to let go of the past. The past, whether good or bad, cannot do anything for your future. If you have had past failures, you must forget them and move on. Too many people dwell on past failures and it keeps them from ever trying again. And even if your past memories are of success, let them go too. Dwelling too long on past accomplishments may cause you to miss valuable opportunities in the present.
#6-Never Give Up It is no surprise that one of the most common causes of failure is quitting. People tend to give up when any form of obstacle or unforeseen challenge shows up. The fact is that obstacles or setbacks do not mean failure, but quitting does. If you want to live a successful life, make the commitment to follow through with everything that you start. Take the word “quit” out of your vocabulary. If you never quit, you will never fail.
#5-Don’t Get Too Comfortable One reason that many people do not enjoy a lifetime of success is that they get too comfortable after a small victory. Reaching your goals is a terrific thing, but if it causes you to feel complacent, your forward progress will be halted. As soon as a goal has been reached, set another, even grander than the first. Do not get satisfied by small victories.
#4-Avoid Shortcuts Too many people are always looking to get something for nothing. Think about it, why do so many people play the lottery every week? They are trying to get rich without putting forth any effort. But how many of them actually get rich, about 1 in a 10 million? The point is that you can achieve anything that you want, but be willing to do what is necessary. The road to success is often bumpy, and the “easy way” most often leads absolutely nowhere.
#3-Choose Your Own Path Having goals is great, as long as they are goals of your choosing. Many people get too wrapped up in what others are pursuing, or what others think that they should be pursuing. Nobody can choose your path better than you, so do not let outside influences cause you to set the wrong goals for yourself. Make sure that you are the one who decides your future.
#2-Always Have Goals Goals are a necessity for anyone who wants to lead a successful life. Without goals, no progress will be made. Goals offer direction, and they fuel advancement, improvement, and growth. Always have goals for yourself, both short term and long term. This is a sure-fire way to know that you are always moving in the right direction, rather than going nowhere at all.
#1-Stop Blaming! Things go wrong from time to time, that is an inescapable reality of life. But when they do go wrong, do you start pointing the figure at yourself or others? Well if you tend to put blame on people and even blame yourself, you will want to stop at once. Blaming and making excuses does nothing to make forward progress, rather it keeps you at a standstill. When problems arise, become solution oriented and focus on the solution rather than who was at fault.
These are the same principles that you will end up paying for if you attempt to get coached to success. And while getting coached to success in the traditional sense may have its benefits, reading can offer you much assistance.
While there is a whole world of success teachings and philosophies out there that you will want to devour on your own, these seven keys are essential to success, and therefore worth remembering.
