Law #1-Having a Definite Goal

This principle is at the very beginning of the list for a very important reason....if you do not know exactly what you are trying to accomplish, none of the other principles have any power. Notice how I did not say 'having a goal,' but rather I said 'having a definite goal.' Definite is the key to this principle. Before you would begin any journey, wouldn't you decide exactly where you wanted to go? Wouldn't you need to know the place that you were wishing to end up? Of course. Otherwise, would you ever know if you arrived? And even more importantly, how would you know the path to take that would get you there? Having a definite goal for your home business quest will not only give you a clear target to aim at, but it will also stimulate your mind and get you excited. This will begin to formulate plans for the attainment of your goal. A definite goal needs to be precise, it must be exact. A goal that is clear and concise will bring forth emotion when it is thought of and talked about. This is the starting point for all great achievement.

Law #2-Self Confidence

Self confidence is having a strong belief in yourself, belief that you can accomplish whatever it is that you want. Belief in your abilities to reach your goal automatically puts your mind into a positive state. A positive state of mind is a creative state, positive thoughts are constructive thoughts. You obviously need be creative, and you need to think constructive thoughts to achieve any large goal. Therefore we see how important it is to develop a high level of self confidence. This is something that anyone can do rather easily. The fastest way to build confidence is to take a personal inventory of yourself. Look at your abilities and focus on the qualities that you have that are going to be useful for affiliate marketing. Once you know your strongest points and focus on them, they will begin to build your confidence. It can also be a good idea to decide how each of your strongest qualities relates to your home business goals. You will then be able to choose the best path for success, the one that will highlight your important qualities and utilize them.

Law #3-Taking Initiative

This seems to be one of the most common places of failure for most affiliate marketers. The ability to take initiative, to do what needs to be done, is an absolute necessity for success. There are two types of people in the world; there are leaders and there are followers. Take a look around at the people that are doing great things, becoming successful, and achieving financial freedom.....IT'S THE LEADERS, THE ACTION TAKERS. We have all heard over and over again that 'knowledge is power.' This is only half of the equation. Knowledge is absolutely powerless unless it is under the control of someone that has enough initiative to use it. What we do with our knowledge is the only thing that counts. Taking initiative means that you decide what you want to accomplish, how you can do it.....and then begin at once to do it. You don't procrastinate, you don't put it off until tomorrow. You get to it right away. This is the only way to gets things done. The 'ladder of success' is so much less crowded at the top because the people at the bottom are saying 'I'll go after you do.' Don't be a follower...be a leader, take initiative.

Law #4- Concentration

Power that brings success and achievement comes from an organization of effort and energy. We all only have so much energy, so much effort, and so much time. When your resources are dissipated to a bunch of different places, none of them get the attention that they need to grow and develop. Surely you've seen people that seem to be busy all the time, always running around, yet they never seem to get anything accomplished! Well it ultimately comes down to a lack of concentration. They are giving attention to a variety of needless things. The habit of concentrated effort, effort upon one objective at a time, is a habit that anyone who wants success needs to adopt. Affiliate marketing at home can have many distractions. Television, kids, phone calls, and other things that can take away your focus and attention. Decide to put forth a designated time each day to build your home based business. Make sure that this time, no matter how much or little, is free of distractions. This way you can concentrate on what you are doing.

Law #5- Profiting From Failure

Failure can be a stepping stone for success. There are some things that cannot be learned until you experience them for yourself. Now some people take failure in a negative way. If something seems not to go the way they planned, they assume failure is the only result and they do not strive forward. If you can look at a failure as nothing more than a temporary defeat, a small setback, a chance to continue more intelligently, then failure will never be your final destination. In this case failure will only be a lesson that will show you a better way to do things the next time. Affiliate marketing is something that is new to many that want it. As they commence on their journey, they often times meet with temporary defeat. To many people accept this as failure, and that is the end of their journey. For the brave few that look at the temporary defeat as nothing more than a minor setback, find out why it happened and how to avoid it next time, and continue forward, they move closer and closer toward success. Only now they have greater knowledge and power.

Law #6- Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm comes from the Greek word 'inspired.' Take a look at any successful person and you will without a doubt see that they are very enthusiastic about what they do. Enthusiasm is a motivating force that tends to push people to do extraordinary things. Anyone who is enthusiastic about what they are doing has a insurmountable advantage over the ones that lack this powerful force. Enthusiasm is a very positive emotion, and it puts us in a very positive state of mind. This is the state where people tend to do their best work. When you are enthusiastic about affiliate marketing, you will have a constant flow of energy and motivation, and you will get creative ideas that you can apply for the growth of your home business. Enthusiasm is developed when you think constantly about all of the benefits that will be yours when you reach your goals. Thinking of the best possible outcome will open up to you vast resources that will propel you toward your goals.

Law #7- Imagination

Imagination is a key component in all of the stages of home business development. From deciding on clear goals...to finding your motivation and enthusiasm...to finding ways to achieve your goals...and the many other phases of affiliate marketing. Everything that has ever been created has first been developed in thought. An architect sees a building in his imagination before it ever hits the paper. Nothing great ever happens by accident. There is never only one way to accomplish anything. This being the case, the use of imagination is a valuable resource that anyone has access to. Spend some time imagining ways to get from where you are to the place you want to go. Use your imagination, thinking constructively about how things can be done bigger and better.
