This being the case, doesn't it make sense to do some 'homework' before diving head first into any one of the affiliate marketing ideas available on the Net? Wouldn't you have a much better chance of reaching your goals if you knew how to get to the place that you want to be?

Absolutely. We have all heard it before...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. Getting knowledge is the first step to achieving anything in life.

We all know that the huge majority of Internet business seekers fail, they never really get very far at all. It's a fact, a select few do fabulously well and rest do nothing. What could the cause of this be? Well maybe, just maybe, they haven't taken any time to learn about the field they were attempting to pursue. Ahhh, precisely. This is most often the case.

People get so excited about all the benefits of success, that they forgot one important factor. 'How do I actually make these affiliate marketing ideas work?' They dive right in...head first...and ouch, they meet with failure almost inevitably.

Beginners often make all different types of mistakes. They often fall for some type of scam and "get-rich-quick" scheme. What does that get them? Money wasted....times wasted....and a painfully bruised ego that may keep them from ever attempting to build an online home business again.

So what then is the solution? How can you avoid making the same mistakes and avoid failure? DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Take some time to invest in yourself and in your success. Preparation will pay dividends in the long run, very lucrative dividends. A few hours spent in 'learning the ropes' will save you thousands of hours in the future, and probably some money as well.

Are the successful affiliates simply lucky? Well I guess that depends on your definition of the word luck. Over and over again rich and successful people have stated that luck is 'preparation meeting with opportunity.' What's the key word that we can see here? Ahh, yes....PREPARATION. You never hear them say that luck is 'blindly rushing in to meet an opportunity.' That is better a definition for the word unlucky....and also failure and frustration.

Preparation meeting opportunity, what a concept! The opportunities are everywhere. There are numerous affiliate marketing ideas that can be worked successfully by just about anyone. They are not going anywhere, they will still be around in a few days or weeks.

The best home businesses, the reliable, profitable opportunities aren't going anywhere....that's why they are both reliable and profitable. The only 'opportunities' that are missed because of taking time to prepare are those businesses that will take your money....AND RUN WITH IT!

So what's the rush? Invest some time learning from the people that have accomplished what you want to accomplish. Invest some time planning your attack. Invest some time in yourself, building your confidence, motivation, and work habits.

An investment of time is not the same as wasting time, it's not even close. Time wasted is gone forever....but time invested will reward you for years to come.

So why not plan your journey, learn the territory, and create a map for success? This is the only way you can find the path that will lead you where you want to go. The path of success is narrow and often missed.... it's a much more narrow path than the path to failure. What path are you going to take?
