Affiliate Business Programs. How to avoid scams so that you can choose the best internet marketing home business programs to work from home with.
If there’s one lesson I have learned in my Internet Marketing career it is that all affiliate business programs are NOT created equal.
Sure you have seen all the ads.
And without a doubt you have seen all the hype(way too much of it!).
Everybody claims to have the best affiliate program, but obviously they cannot all be equal.
There are many things to take into consideration when you are choosing the affiliate program that you’re going to use to build your home based business.
Some of the most important things to consider are: ...the company reliability ...the products or services that you will promote ...the training that you will receive ...the commissions that you will earn ...the promotion and business tools at your disposal ...and the level of support that you can expect to receive.
The company reliability is the most important because if the company is not reliable, which many of the newer affiliate marketing programs are not, you will only end up wasting your time and money.
Many people fall into that trap of believing the hype.
Sure the hype sounds enticing and exciting, but can we simply believe everything we hear?
No, and when you are choosing the right home business opportunity, you want to make sure that you will be investing your time and money into a company that has been around for awhile and one that will remain active for years to come.
Many people, including myself, have at some time throughout their online career tried to make money with a hype filled program.
The only problem is that most often there’s no substance behind the hype, and as soon as you start making any progress, the company vanishes into thin air.
What happens next is that you are left disappointed and frustrated, and left to start building your business once again.
But there are many reliable opportunities, and you need to utilize the other criteria to choose which one will best meet your needs.
Depending on the niche that you’re going to market to, you will want to choose a program that offers products and services that your audience will be interested in.
And on top of having relevant products, you’ll want to make sure that you’re getting the best commissions per sale.
For example, Amazon is one of the largest suppliers of affiliate products, but they offer minimal commissions, usually between 7% and 10%.
Compare this to clickbank, another large provider of affiliate products, who offers anywhere from 30% to 75% per sale.
Obviously you can see where you would rather invest your time.
Another thing to consider, especially if you are a new marketer, is whether or not you will be provided any training.
While some business programs do not offer their affiliates any training, there are others that offer in depth training, plenty of resources and a lot of support.
This is the reason why I love the
SFI Marketing Group,
because they offer step by step training, an abundance of resources, and a very helpful forum where new members can ask questions to more experienced ones.
You also have to take into consideration the promotional tools that you will have at your disposal.
While some affiliate business programs do not offer anything more than your standard affiliate links and landing pages, other programs like the SFI Marketing Group offer a variety of web pages, banner ads, text ads, e-mail marketing scripts, and even video advertisements.
Some of these tools will be very helpful for you and will allow you to build your business more efficiently.
And, the last thing to keep in mind is the level of support that you will get.
Sometime this is hard to know from the get go, but I have found a simple way to tell whether a program will support its members or not.
The key is the forum. In my experience the most successful affiliate business programs are the ones that offer their members a forum where new members can ask questions, get insight and motivation, and share business ideas with others.
Once again, the SFI Marketing Group offers a wonderful forum so that you will never be alone in the beginning stages of building your business.
