If you are a newbie or someone who has not created their own product then affiliate marketing may be perfect for you. In this article I'm going to go over some brief points on the subject and explain what they mean.

Firstly what is affiliate marketing? This is where a person or company creates a product or software and gets others to promote it to their leads. In exchange for any sales the affiliate will receive a percentage of the sale. Certain companies like clickbank manage relationships and make sure all parties are happy with one another, they then take a small percentage of the sale.

Why choose affiliate marketing as your business model? Well mostly because it costs nothing to become an affiliate and you don't have to have your own product to sell. All you have to do is to get leads to the products web page you are promoting and let the product creator do the selling. You have to let the leads know what the product is about and what benefits to them it will bring.

So how do I go about getting leads? There are a few ways to do this. You could set up a blog or website that pre sells the product with a link at the end. One of the best ways to do it is to build a list in a certain niche relating to the product. This list can be used over and over again to promote other products to, as long as it relates to the same niche. Having a list will also ensure that you can have money coming in time and time again and won't be badly effected by any changes on the internet. For example if google changes the way it rates websites and removes your site off of the first page.

Affiliate marketing also works the other way. Once you have created a product or software you can get other affiliates to market your product. This can be hugely beneficial to your monthly income. There are literally thousands of affiliates with thousands of leads on their email list who are potentially going to buy your products.

Affiliate marketing has lots of benefits for the experienced and non-experienced alike. Most marketers start out as an affiliate and I think you should too. Being able to sell someone else's product is quick and easier than having to create your own product and setting up a sales campaign. So stop asking yourself why choose affiliate marketing as your business model? And start implementing it.
