5 Steps to a Six-Figure Information Products Business

In this article, I will outline a simple 5-step business model you can use to create a six-figure information products business from home. Although there are variations, this is the same model used by successful Internet marketers around the world, some of whom make more money in a month than most people do all year. It's also the model I personally used to to create my own six-figure information products business from my home office. My wish and belief for you is that by executing the steps in this report, you'll be able to achieve similar results.

Step 1: Select a Profitable Niche - Many beginners believe the first step to making a full-time income online is to come up with something to sell. In fact, you first step is always to find a profitable niche. To paraphrase famed copywriter Gary Halbert, find a hungry crowd, and find out what they're hungry for. Once you do that, the rest is fairly easy.

Step 2: Create an Email List for Your Niche - Most six-figure Internet marketers agree, the money is in the list. Actually, the money is in the relationship with the people who subscribe to your list. It's the crucial component because, when done correctly, your email list is composed of people who know, like and trust you. They're your biggest fans. They're your people, and it's your mission to nurture a relationship with them, find out what they want, and give it to them.

Step 3: Create a Squeeze Page that Entices People to Join Your List - A squeeze page (also known as an optin page) is a specific type of web page designed for just one purpose. That purpose is to entice people to subscribe to your email list. That's it. Nothing else. Along with your sales pages, your squeeze pages are the most important pages on your site. These are your "money pages," and the success of your business is determined by the effectiveness of these pages.

Step 4: Drive Targeted Traffic to Your Squeeze Page and Build Your List - If your email list is the engine that drives your six-figure Internet business, targeted traffic is the fuel that powers the engine. And just like a car with an empty gas tank, without traffic, you won't go anywhere in your business. Targeted traffic is one-third of the formula for building a six-figure infoproducts business.

Here's that formula, by the way: Product(s) + Traffic + Conversion = Six-Figure Infoproducts Business

Step 5: Monetize Your Email List - Once you find your hungry crowd, and develop a relationship with them, it's time to feed them what they want. There are basically two ways to do this. You can either create and sell your own products or you can offer products created by others. In the latter case, you can offer affiliate products, which are products created by someone else. If you suggest a product and someone on your list buys the product based on your suggestion, the product creator would pay you a commission on the sale.

That's it. That's the formula for success. We try to make it more complicated, but it's not. Yes, the devil is in the details, but if you keep this simple 5-step model in mind, you'll avoid information overload and be well on your way to your own six-figure online business.
