Network marketing lead generation like any other type of lead generation is the life blood of any business. You need to constantly put yourself in a position as a business owner to be recruiting prospects. The simple equation is this, the more prospects you have in your sales funnel, the greater the opportunity you have to do business.

Network marketing lead generation is the process of prospecting; getting prospects or otherwise referred to as leads, into a sales funnel where you can share information with them on the benefits of joining your organization. When it comes to sales it is all about benefits and when it comes to lead generation it is no different, the obvious question for any prospect is, "What's in it for me, What will I get out of it"?

If these questions are addressed in a concise manner that makes logical sense then you will have no difficulty with network marketing lead generation. We have a tendency to over complicate matters as human beings, but the fact is, it really is that easy. In effect your objective is to make an emotional connection with your audience as it relates to your offer.

With that said, let's move on to how you can generate leads. So let's get back to the basic point, without leads your business will fail to grow and if it fails to grow, it will over time fail to exist. Being that this is the case, lead generation is a priority and should be where you spend the most of your time. You need to spend time connecting with people and putting your offer in front of them. This is a business and the money is in your list of prospects.

So if you have only 2 hours in a day to build your network marketing business, an hour and a half should be spent on your network marketing lead generation. If you look at any of those who have been successful in business, network marketing or otherwise, you will see that their focus was on making connections, getting in front of people, getting their offer out there.

Let's cover some ways you can do this. The traditional style was one of going belly to belly, talking to friends and family, opening up conversations with people you meet on a day to day basis, inviting people to presentations in your home or other locations. The enticement was the offer of an opportunity.

There is also collaboration, joining with other groups or teams to work together on prospecting and logistics. With the advent of the web, you can now have a web presence that you can send visitors to, here you can offer them a free online video, DVD or e-book in exchange for their details. Once again the emphasis has to be on a concise answer of, "What's in it for me".

With a web presence you need visitors, in order to get visitors you need to do some market research as it relates to how people are searching for online business opportunities, or more specifically network marketing opportunities. Obviously these market segments will be competitive, but with a little diligence you can find the low hanging fruit.

In summary, network marketing lead generation is a numbers game, even as you recruit new prospects others will quit, so you need to adjust your numbers for this. In addition the common denominator is people. Human beings are emotional creatures, your offer, be it in person or online needs to address their emotional desires and apply logic as to their achieving their goals.
