The remarkable persistence of the Wright brothers led to the birth and development of today's modern air transport systems.

Faced with failure after failure as they built and tested their flying machines, Orville and Wilbur Wright focused on systematically and methodically finding the solutions to each and every problem that stood in the way of their goals.

The brothers were not the first to attempt to build a heavier-than-air flying machine; they were not even the celebrated thought leaders in the field of aviation.

They were merely a couple of entrepreneurial bicycle manufacturers, high school dropouts who people thought were crazy for pursuing the goal of building the first airplane.
