Venturing into a competitive niche is never a welcome idea by many people. One reason why a niche becomes competitive is likely because it's highly profitable. It is smart to find a lesser but profitable niche to begin and when you can't find one you will need to wear the hat of bravery and prepare yourself for victory.

People who have started a business before and failed often get jittery of starting another venture again. Most successful people today tried and failed multiple times. Never give up your trials in hard work until you make your last attempt and don't make your last attempt until you succeed.
