Tutors who offer quality service and keep their prices at a competitive rate will thrive because parents are looking for affordable tutoring options. Depending on one's experience, individuals can charge $20-$50/hour. Individuals working with younger children should have lower rates than working with older children and adult learners.

Many educational publishers and private clients are looking for individuals who have background experience in teaching and can apply their knowledge to designing a new course or lesson. These are lucrative home-based business that teachers can explore further and can make them either a part-time or full-time ventures.
