Never Stop Marketing

This is the fourth and final segment in a series on how to create an online business that will net you over a million dollars. What we've established so far: you will need a tested and proven system; you will need high-quality, high-ticket products and services; and you will need powerful marketing strategies. In this article we will look at how to establish your online identity.

It's not as though all of these happen in just this order. In fact many of the aspects discussed in the articles will happen simultaneously. This will be especially true with marketing. From the outset it will be crucial that you never stop marketing. This is the cardinal rule that must not be broken or ignored. The moment you stop marketing, you begin falling backward - you've lost your forward momentum. So when you hit a point where you become weary of marketing, or you don't see the results you want, don't quit! It's at that very moment that you will begin to experience your breakthrough.

Online Persona

Part of your marketing strategy is to develop your online persona. You want to be seen and accepted as a leader in your arena - or in your niche. And this will only come from consistency. Remember, you are not looking to build this business overnight.

Much of your success will begin with planning. In what area do you have expertise and abilities that will be of great service to others? What are a few clever (not glitzy or phony) ways you can promote yourself? Remember what was stated in Part 2 - that it is the market more than the product than drives sales. Zig Ziglar said it best:

"You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

Let's say you've found the company that offers the best products (high-ticket items), that has best systems in place, and that offers solid support. The company has proven that people will pull out their credit cards and happily pay big bucks for these products. Now your goal is to move yourself into a leadership position within the parameters of this online business.

If you are accustomed to negative thinking, you may be saying to yourself that such a program would already have all the strong leaders in place. This is nothing more than scarcity thinking running at full steam. It's time to turn that thinking around. It's time for you to latch on to another favorite Zig Ziglar saying:

"There's Room at the Top"

Because of the Web 2.0 technology and strategies, there are countless methods you can use to get your name, your face and your voice in front of thousands and millions of people. Never in the history of marketing and commerce has it ever been so accessible to reach so many people.

And that's another reason to 1) plan well, 2) choose a high quality company, and 3) maintain integrity in all you say and do within your business. It may take time to build your good reputation, but believe it - it only takes a few weeks to create a bad one.

Once you decide on what kind of a leader you will be, and what you have to offer, after that it's all a matter of building, building, and building. Never stop. Credibility comes from being consistent. For instance, if you begin a blog for which you gain followers and after three months you abandon it, integrity is compromised. That's not how to build a million dollar business.

If you set your sights high and go after your goals with passion and enthusiasm, you will make it! Before long, you will become known - and trusted. People love to do business with people whom they know and trust! That has been true for centuries.
