It may take a while, but once you are able to break the mark and start making the first thousand, all you need to do is rinse and repeat and the money will keep flowing in. All you need to do at the beginning is to make sure you get to the first third or forth position in Google ranking for you keyword. And that will be it, you will be sure floods of traffic will come visiting your site, and in affiliate marking, traffic is King.

If you have a website with which you advertise your product or any affiliate link you are sending traffic to, the world is at your reach. So even while you are sleeping some regions of the world are making purchases through your affiliate link.
