In another article I talked about the 6 online business models you can use to start your internet business. These models are very successful, but of the 6 the easiest is (in my opinion) the affiliate marketing business model.

This is because it takes a lot of the pressure off of you. You want to get a website going and you want to get your website selling something as soon as possible. The real truth is at first you're not trying to get rich online, you're just looking for a way to make a few bucks and someday...hopefully... be able to quit your day job, right?

Well, allow me to introduce you to the affiliate marketing business model. It truly is the easiest way to get your website online and selling fast. Here's how it works.

Basically, you are NOT gong to sell your own products. And this makes life a whole lot easier. You don't have to write an ebook, record audios, or really have a lot of creative output to make money online. This is what stops most people I talk to. They want to start an online business but they don't want to have to write a book.

This solves that problem for you. Instead of creating a selling your own product, with the affiliate marketing business model you'll be selling someone elses product. Cool point # 2 is that you also don't have to figure out a way to collect payments. You don't need a payment processor or a merchant account.

Even further, if you want to REALLY get down to it, you don't even have to have a website to do your selling. You can practice the art of direct linking. This is a sneaky tactic where you act as a middle man between an affiliate product and an advertiser. This works well in forums where you turn your signature link to your affiliate link for another product.

I've done this with banner ads. It works out like this. Let's say you have a banner ad out there and you're paying 50 cents per click. This is higher than I'd like but it's good for math's sake. Now, when people click this banner you can send them directly to an affiliate website. Let's say this affiliate website pays you $10 every time one of your clicks buys their product.

How many clicks does it take to get a sale? Let's say 20 clicks = 1 sale. Pretty tough to get that, but keeping it simple. That means that if you get 20 clicks (x) 50 cents per click = $10.00. You then earned $10.00. So you're breaking even. Not good. You need to do better. So, looking at the math you only have 2 options.

1) Get a cheaper cost for each click

2) Make more money per affiliate sale

It's not rocket science. It's really just common sense. That's what makes the affiliate marketing business model online website selling the easiest to start with. You aren't responsible for the hard stuff. You're only real focus is on getting traffic to the offer. I'll have more on that at a later time.

In the meantime, focus on 2 things. Go to Clickbank (Google it) and look for affiliate product offers. Go to Alexa and search for sites where you can actually advertise. Go to top sites and search for category. Obviously, there's more to this then I can cover in this article, but this will get you going.

All you have to do is spend less than you make. If you can do that, then you are basically printing money on demand. There's also FREE way to drive traffic. Look for more articles on that later on.
