What Is Pay Per Click Advertising For Your Home Business?

The beauty behind PPC Marketing is that it has very targeted traffic. You only pay for advertising when a prospect actually clicks on your ad. If someone clicks on your ad, it means that what you are offering is helpful and useful to the prospect.

Most search engines pay per click departments are the same, so we will keep in general. In starting your pay per click campaign, there are 3 types of prospects that will be searching.

  1. Prospect #1 - researching a problem specific to them
  2. Prospect #2 - researching products related to ours
  3. Prospect #3 - Researching our product by name.

Once you create an account with Google, Yahoo or Bing, you will be presented a series of steps. Complete each one, answering each question logically. If your opportunity only does business in the US, then don't chose to target Australia.

Now you are ready to create the actual ad. We are going to create a text ad (even though we can create a local business ad, mobile ad or any ad you feel appropriate for your business.

Note: Do NOT try to sell your product or service in the ad itself.

Your headline should talk to what the prospect wants. There is, usually, a max of 25 characters so use it wisely. Think of your ad as an introduction part of the conversation. The page you are sending them to is the final piece of the conversation. You should target someone actually ready join your business or buy your (affiliate) products and services. Let's give some examples:

Headline: Want To Learn How To Sponsor Reps

Display URL: http: //www. YourDomainHere. com

Description line 1: Without getting rejection

Description line 2: Free Report reveals exactly what to say

Destination URL: This is the actual url of the link you are sending them to.

Search engines now wants to choose the keywords that will help people find you. Put the keywords in [brackets] and do not write any more keywords in this box. Next is the place where you put your budget for the day. Maximum CPC bid is the amount of money you are willing to pay every time someone clicks on your ad. Do not bid high at first. Depending on your niche, bids could be anywhere from $.25 to $.75, click done.

Choose how you want to pay (credit card, bank transfer, etc), agree to the specific search engine terms, click save and continue. You can now go back to preview your ad and see it placed on a page. You can even see the competitors bidding on the same things.

Now that you have the ability to reach millions of people around the world, your ability to generate clicks to your sites, which will generate leads for your business, then your ability to convert those leads to customers and/or distributors depends on how well you use the search engine ad campaigns. It doesn't matter how big your budget is. The formula to make pay per click work looks like this:

Bad Ad + Bad Site = No Clicks & No Leads = No Money

Bad Ad + Good Site = No Clicks & No Leads = No Money

Good Ad + Bad Site = Clicks & No Leads = Waste of Money

Good Ad + Good Site = Clicks & Leads = Big Money

The great thing about the first two is that you won't be charged anything because your ads are not being clicked. The more and better keywords, the more and better leads you will get.
